Indian citizens are required a tourist visa to visit Vietnam for a short-term stay. Visa applicants must submit their application at local embassy or register online through travel agents to arrange a visa. This is a helpful guide for how to get Vietnam tourist visa for Indian passport holders.

How to apply?

Step 1: Fill out the application form electronically here. After you finish this step, a confirmation email will be sent to your email.

Step 2: Pay vis processing fee in full with credit/debit card. When the payment is verified, you will receive an email stating the date of receipt of visa approval letter

Step 3: Receive visa approval letter via emal after 2 business days or less. An entry-exit form is attached to the email. Please print out the letter and complete the form.

Step 4: Present the letter for boarding plane. At arrival airport, submit the letter with the completed entry-exit form, your origin passport, 01 passport photo, and stamping fee (cash only, USD or VND) to get visa stamp.

Please note: Only Indian citizens visiting Vietnam by plane can register for visa on arival online. If you manage to enter the country by land or sea, please obtain the tourist Vietnam visa Indian at the embassy (Address: 20 Kautilya Marg, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi)

Documents required for paper application:

 - Origin passport valid for at least 6 months and have blank pages available

 - Signed, completed visa application form

 - 01 recent  passport photo 

 - Self-addressed return envelope

 - Payment of application (by cheque or postal order payable to the "Embassy of Vietnam")

Processing time:

The tourist visa is issued after 5 business days. The emergency visa can be granted within 1-2 business days upon request.
