Should I apply at the embassy or online?

ONLINE VISA APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1: Complete the application form electronically

You are requested to enter all the required information regarding your visa type, proposed date of arrival, full name, date of birth, passport number. Please notice that the visa must match your current passport data.

Step 2: Pay for your visa application

The fee must be paid after the time of application submission if you wish the processing starts immediately. You can use the credit/debit card to make payment or send cash via Western Union or bank transfer. The application fee is determined by type of visa for which you want to apply for. Step 3: Receive visa approval letter

Normally, it takes 2 business days for the approval letter to be sent to your email. In order to get the letter the same day of application, you have to use express visa service (additional fee required)

Step 4: Get visa stamp on arrival

Once the approval letter is ready, you submit it with your valid passport, 01 passport photo, completed entry-exit form, and stamping fee (by cash) at Immigration Counter at arrival airport to get visa stamped onto your passport. This process takes about 10 minutes or longer depending on the number of foreigners picking up visa on arrival at that time.

VISA APPLICATION PROCESS AT EMBASSY

Step 1: Download the visa application form from website of Vietnam Consulate in Hong Kong

Step 2: Fill out the form fully and correctly then print it out and sign your name

Step 3: Attach a recent passport photo to the application form

Step 4: Submit your application form, origin and valid passport and payment of application to the consular office at 15/F, Great Smart Tower, 230 Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Step 5: Visit the consular office again to collect the Vietnam visa India after 4 business days
