How to get a visa Vietnam for Indian?
The Indian citizens interested in travelling to Vietnam must obtain an entry visa. Although it takes a few days to complete the processing, Vietnam visa for Indian citizens should be applied at least 2 weeks prior to travel date to avoid inconveniences.
Depending on the mode of transport you use for your trip to Vietnam, you can consider one of the following options.
On-arrival visa process
This process is strongly recommended for those taking flight to Vietnam. It often takes place with the support of a reliable travel agent.
Step 1. Click on button Apply Visa to fill out the application form online. The requested information includes your type of visa, date of arrival and all personal details exactly shown on your passport. Please be careful not to make the mistake or you may have to apply for a new visa.
Step 2. Pay visa processing fee in full using your credit/debit card. The visa fee is determined by your type of visa and how early you would like the process to be completed.
Step 3. Receive visa approval letter and entry and exit form in your email after 2 business days (normal process). You must use the letter to be allowed to board the plane and get visa stamp upon arrival at the airport.
Step 4. At Vietnam’s international airports (Hanoi, Danang, Hochiminh), you are required to present a print copy of visa approval letter, completed entry and exit form, original passport (at least 6 month validity), 01 passport photo and stamping fee (in cash) to get pick up visa on arrival. This process takes about 10 minutes.
Visa for overland entry into Vietnam
For Indian visitors arriving in Vietnam overland, you are suggested to obtain visa at the Vietnam embassy in India or get e-visa Vietnam. At present, the embassy provides three modes of Vietnam visa application. The application can be made in person, by email or by post
General requiments for Vietnam visa at the embassy
1. 01 origin passport valid for at least 6 months prior to travel date
2. Completed, signed application form attached with 01 passport photograph
3. Self-addressed return envelope if you wish the visa and passport to be returned by post
4. Vietnam visa fee in form of cheque, or postal order payable to the "Embassy of Vietnam"
If you submit the application by email, please send your passport copy, application form (PDF), evidence of payment to address vnemb.in@gmail.com or vnconsul.indelhi@yahoo.in. When the processing is completed, you must bring your origin passport and application form to pick up the visa in person at the embassy.
Normal processing time of the embassy is 5 business days since the date of receipt of complete application. In order to rush the process, you need to pay extra cost. Application for Vietnam visa by email is automatically considered as express requirements which will be processed after 2 working days.
